Not posted anything for a while as have been relaxing at the beach etc. Kids back at school next week so will be gung-ho trying out new recipes. I had a lovely cocktail yesterday - a Blue Shark, made with vodka/triple sec & blue curacao.It was delish and maybe we should incorporate cocktails in the cafe..hmmm....

Aahh FB I'm glad you asked about a well-stocked bar. On hand you need=
vodka/gin/martini/blue curacao/triple sec/grenadine/midori/tequilla.
Now - vodka I would recommend Grey Goose, then maybe a couple of flavoured v's ie absolute citron/vanilla/etc.Gin has to be Bombay Sapphire if you are making a gin martini. You also need an array of juice ie cranberry (for cosmo's) orange (for mamosa's) and freshly squeezed lime (for margharitas').
We make our margarhita's like this=
buy a ready to go bottle of margharita mix, then add tequilla, whizz up in a blenger with ice et voila! It's easy and quick and you have south-of-the-border heaven in a glass! (Don't forget the little umbrellas..)
Also I would recommend a cocktail shaker and a cocktail recipe book so you can shake one up when you need a drink! Hope this helped FB...BBx
