Cupcakes in Manhattan

Dearest cupcake lovers

Had fab weekend in Manhattan with Britmate Kez. Wandered around Greenwich Village and found Tea & Sympathy - a wonderful tea shop that is also the hub of Britlife in the middle of the city- and next door is top chip shop A Salt & Battery. Had delish cod & chips and a can of R. White's lemonade! Brilliant! Didn't get to Magnolia or Sugar Sweet Sunshine but did see a little bakery in Greenwich that were charging $3.25 for a cupcake, and to be honest looked a bit stale....nevertheless a top weekend.
Baked first order for tea party on Friday night - Viva Vanillas with pastel icing - hope they were enjoyed!

Very yummy Choc Full O'Chocs

Dearest cupcake lovers

Here are a couple of pics of the choc cupcakes I made last week.

And guess what? FIRST ORDER IS IN! 12 vanilla's in pastel shades! I'm very excited, and of course I will add a pic to the blog.

Off to New York on saturday and I'm hoping to get to Sugar Sweet Sunshine to taste their cakes. Excited!
